Thai Taste is an authentic range of Thai ingredients and quick cook sauces that are sourced, produced and packed solely in Thailand. The range includes herbs, pastes, soups, rice, noodles and sauces. We are passionate about food and believe that the provenance and authenticity of these ingredients is essential.
Thai cuisine is essentially a mixture of five key flavours: bitter, hot (spicy), salty, sour and sweet. These fundamental flavours correspond to four main regions of the country – Northern, Northeastern, Central and Southern. Coconut milk and turmeric tend to be used in Southern curries, while Northeastern curries tend to have a strong lime flavour. However, most Thai food is highlighted with distinctive citrus flavours of lemongrass and lime.
The popularity of Thai cuisine has been increasing rapidly in recent years, due to the increase in quality restaurants and holidays to Thailand itself, so much so that Thai green curry has now entered the standard cooking repertoire. With this increase in popularity so too has been the increase in the amount of un-authentic imitations.
The Thai Taste range enables you to make your own authentic Thai cuisine with very little effort. We have kept the integrity and essence of true Thai flavours in the range, to enable everyone, from the novice to the professional, to create Thai food as the Thais eat.
